Advisory committee named for Kinesiology dean search

The search process has started for the next dean of the School of Kinesiology.

Dean Lori Ploutz-Snyder’s term concludes in June 2026, and Provost Laurie McCauley has announced the appointment of the U-M advisory committee that will assist in the search. The committee met June 16 to receive its official charge.

Assisting the committee is executive search firm WittKieffer. Representing the firm is Zach Smith, executive partner and global education leader; Sandra Chu, consultant; and Luis Bertot, senior associate.

The search advisory committee includes representatives from faculty, staff and students of the school and other members of the university community:
