Today is International Data Privacy Day, and the U-M Information and Technology Service and the School of Information are co-sponsoring a series of Privacy@Michigan events from January through March that raise awareness and spark thought-provoking conversation on pressing privacy issues and topics.
The first two are:
- Jan. 28 at 3 p.m.: “Privacy for Populations at Risk: Supporting Journalists Facing Attacks in the Digital Age,” a discussion with Elodie Vialle, human rights activist and journalist (Zoom).
- Feb. 3 at 4 p.m.: “Exploring Digital Privacy from a Child’s Perspective.” Lauren Girouard will explore what we know about children’s own perspectives on their digital privacy, particularly in the age of artificial intelligence (Michigan Room, Michigan League).
